The ANB Academy Announces the Inception of the Alumni Futbol Group The ANB Futbol Academy is pleased to announce the inception of its Alumni Futbol Group. The objective of the group is to promote the beautiful game through the integration of players who have graduated from, or participated in the ANB developmental training system and former players (predominantly those from university/college programs). ANB Alumni Group Benefits: * All players who have graduated and/or participated in the ANB Academy system since its inception in October 2005, are eligible to be selected to the ANB U-21 Team, provided they have the skill level and meet the age requirements to play on this team. Fees are $300 per season (uniforms and referees fees included). * All players who have graduated and/or participated in the ANB Academy system and are not selected to the ANB U-21 team can form a team or teams and play amongst themselves in a structured environment. * Access to the ANB Alumni Group Scholarship Fund a program to financially assist young players so as to allow them to train at the Academy on a full time basis. * ANB Alumni Group members and their guests will be entitled to participate in the annual ANB Banquet and other social events at discounted prices. * ANB Annual Alumni game and BBQ. * Involvement in additional events (e.g.) trips to international competitions. * Alumni Membership Card - renewed yearly (card benefits TBA). Summer 2010 (May to August/September) U-21 Team 1) Weekly training 2) League games ( ANB Futbol Academy has applied to be accepted in the U-21 provincial league) 3) Prospect of Ontario Cup games The ANB Alumni Group will be a cooperative effort spearheaded by Bassam Naim (Academy Director) and Nick Greco (former head of the York University Soccer Alumni organization). |
